Before confirming your booking at Thornfield Camping Cabins please take time to read the information below. It includes vital information regarding cancellation policies and the amenities and services at the site, which will assist you with planning your holiday.
To secure your booking payment is required at the time of the booking. We do not accept provisional bookings so please do not make a booking unless you are in a position to honour it. We accept most major debit / credit cards but please note that credit cards incur a fee of 1.99% of the booking cost.
Cancellation / No show policy
In the event of cancellations or no shows we do not offer any (either full or partial) refund. However, if more that 48 hours notice is given we may, at our discretion, offer an alternative date suitable to you only if we have the availability to do so.
In the event of cancellation of booking by us; if we are unable to provide the booked holiday and have to cancel before the holiday is due to start you are entitled to a full refund of the money you have paid.
We strongly advise you to take out the appropriate travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered, should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason.
There is a designated parking area on site to the right of the bungalow. Vehicles may stop to unload on either the ramp access to the cabins nearest to the bungalow (cabins 3 & 4 / Deer & Squirrel) or at the far end lay-by access for (cabins 1 & 2 / Pheasant & Owl) then park in the car park to the right of the bungalow aligned with the hedge or as directed. (Please note: One vehicle per cabin only)
There is absolutely no smoking permitted either in the cabins or on site. The only place we will permit smoking is at the bottom end of the paddock out of the gate. Please ensure you put all cigarette butts in the bin provided which is attached to the fence just inside the gate. Your co-operation is much appreciated.
Camp Fires / BBQ’s
Camp fires and guest’s own BBQ’s are not permitted on site.
Gas BBQ’s and fire pits with the appropriate fuel may be hired and must be used in the designated areas. We reserve the right to cancel these if adverse weather conditions prevail.
Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum of two) but MUST be kept on a lead and under control at all times whilst on site. Dogs are the owner’s responsibility and must not be left unattended in the cabin at any time. A dog waste disposal bin and scoops are provided for all dog waste. (In the best interest of safety for children and other guests on site and as we have our own pets / free range poultry; it is imperative that the above rules are strictly adhered too. Any breach of these rules may lead to a request to leave the site with no refund of fees). If we experience flouting of these rules which results in the need for us to be clearing the site of dog waste then we may have no alternative but to impose a charge for dogs or potentially exclude dogs from the site altogether which we do not wish to do.
We do not accept stag or hens parties; but should you wish to book for a special occasion please let us know when you book.
All visitors must report to Thornfield bungalow on arrival and departure. Keys will be issued and collected at these times. All guests will be required to complete a registration card.
Check in time between: 16.00hrs – 20.00hrs (PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT ACCEPT VISITORS PRIOR TO 4.00PM DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS) unless special arrangements are made.
Check out: 10.00hrs
Late arrivals after (21.00hrs) must be arranged in advance. We are unable to accept check ins after 21.30hrs. Late checkout may incur additional charges if not by prior arrangement.
If you have a problem with your accommodation during your stay please advise us as we would like the opportunity to resolve it as soon as possible. Please let us know of any damage, breakages or maintenance issues that you come across.
We take all comments from our guests seriously and in the unlikely event that you wish to make a complaint you can contact us by telephone or email and we will respond. We will try to resolve any issues as soon as possible.
Code of Conduct
We expect all our guests to respect and look after the site and the cabin that you are staying in. We also require you to respect your fellow guests and keep noise levels to a minimum after 22.00hrs. We have a noise curfew between 22.00hrs and 07.00hrs.
Parents are responsible for their children, and children must be supervised at all times.
Thornfield Camping Cabins reserves the right to enter and inspect the cabins at any time. Should the cabin be left in an unsatisfactory condition or deliberately damaged in any way we reserve the right to charge costs to the payment method on booking.
We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to your car or associated property whilst on Thornfield Camping Cabin site, except where such loss or damage has arisen as a result of our negligence of a breach of our duty to you.
